This is pretty damn cool stuff.  I'm curious to see what kinds of
structure emerge even from the larval state of development in arch
archives.  Should be interesting to see what the broadest span of a
branch is between archives so far, for example.

Thinking out loud:  while ancestry is discoverable, progeny is not -
that's the whole "no write access required" thing.  So, in order to get
a unified picture of archive relationships, you'd have to walk backward
from all the leaves and then somehow merge the results of those walks.

The wiki registry gives us a place to start for that kind of thing,
anyway.  I could imagine a cron job that visualizes the relationships of
everything in those archives every night and slaps the diagram up on a
web page somewhere.  It might be a neat "conversation piece."
