I suspect you have a real SCCS. I did all my testing using CSSC
(Compatibly Stupid Source Control), and it looks like it isn't quite
stupid enough.
This means the history commands for SCCS in the User Guide will be
wrong, too, since aeimport uses exactly the same ones. Can I ask you to
figure out that they should actually look like?
(How is it that in over a decade no-one has ever reported this as a
bug?)
