Pencerahan lebih mendalam bisa gabung di id-gps yahoo groups.
Penggunaan Palm sebenarnya ngga terlalu praktis, mengingat ada beberapa tipe
GPS yang sudah ada layar besar dan
bisa muat peta. Cuman masalahnya saya punya GPS Garmin eTrex yang layarnya
kecil. Dan lagi, pengoperasian garmin eTrex
tidak user friendly. Makanya beliau saya konek dengan Palm, yang kalo sambil
nyetir bisa langsung jelas terlihat rutenya,
termasuk juga untuk masukin waypoint.
Kira-kira begitu. Sekali lagi yang sudah saya sampaikan, nggabungin GPS dengan
Palm kudu rela ngutak ngatik, kecuali
sudah siap mengeluarkan beberapa dolar untuk beli konektor khusus (harga
konektor kusus Palm 505 - Garmin eTrex sekitar
US$ 30)
Atau mau lebih praktis lagi, beli saja GPS yang sudah ada layar lebarnya
seperti GPS III+ dan GPS V punya Garmin.
