Setelah beberapa saat memgikuti milis ini, akhirnya aku beli Palm M-100
Refurbished di Fastncheap seharga Rp. 700.000 garansi 1 bulan. Memang cari
yg murah meriah untuk eksperimen dulu.
Kurang jelas juga 'refurbished' itu bagaimana maksudnya. Mungkin barang
bekas di-rekondisi lagi oleh Palm Inc.
Yang jelas kondisinya mulus banget & masih segel. Sepertinya case & screen
diganti ulang, soalnya nggak mungkin semulus itu kalau tidak diganti.
Kesan pertama dengan Palm, program-nya cute. Seperti bernostalgia dengan
komputer IBM PC XT 4.7 MHz, yg programnya disimpan di disket.
Jadi kalau Palm M-100 processornya 16 MHz artinya sudah lebih cepat dari IBM
PC XT dulu ya.
Ada juga komplain dari M-100 ini yaitu backlit LCD-nya. Lampu backlit ini
hanya berguna jika cahaya sekitar kurang.
Semakin gelap semakin bagus, sebaliknya semakin terang semakin sulit dibaca.
