Looks like an initrd problem to me. You seem to be using yaird as an
initrd replacement. Check if there are any bugs, in case you upgraded
recently. Try dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-`uname -r` to recreate it.
If that doesn't work, try initramfs (which is more widely used as an
initrd replacement these days) instead of yaird.
