I think what he meant was to compile some perl modules
If yes, the easiest way to install is to download the rpms for gcc and
> run a rpm -UvH rpmname.
Another wy to do this is (If you have internet connection)
#up2date gcc
Alternatively, you can also request the DBA to compile the perl
> modules on his box and move just the binaries to the new system.
