Anyone know if Open Office is using standard xml or

The reason I ask is I can't open Open Office docs
on 'Doze. I even tried renaming them as xml,
but neither Mozilla, Word, nor IE can read them decently.
Word does the best. :/
Mozilla gives a parsing error.
What gives? It looks like it's compressed or something.
So much for portability. :(

Standard XML.

It's ZIP compressed archive. You can uncompress it and view the contents w/ a text editor.
