There's no need to do that. Just get your company to publish the code
under GPL, LGPL, BSD etc... They can still own the copyright but you
now have the right to hack the code. It'll be a good PR thing for your
company aswell.

In that vain, should ILUG have a freshmeat kinda thing particularly for
Irish FOSS products?
