OT: CDROM recognised with Fedora not with WinXP: msg#00345user-groups.linux.ilug.general
Hi. As above. Some kind of Bad Thing happened - a dodgy usb stick cased WinXP to go Blue Screen (in fact rebooted). Since then while under Fedora Core 1.0 (I have dual boot system) cdrom & external zip drive work fine; under WinXP Pro data CDROMs are only recognised if present in drive at time of power-up. I know it's OT but I only use WinXP for Morrowind so don't shoot me... Any suggestions? John -- John A.
