RE: Smoothwall and external access via ssh or Https.: msg#00313user-groups.linux.ilug.general
In addition to setting remote access, you may also have to include a spcific firewall rule to allow the access. E.g. setting it up means that it is listening on 222 and 441, but the firewall rules themselves do not grant access. Worth taking a look at also. -----Original Message----- From: Jason Corcoran [mailto:jason@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 09 March 2004 11:05 To: Dermot Daly Cc: ILUG Subject: Re: [ILUG] Smoothwall and external access via ssh or Https. Have been trying this, but no avail. >From the manual you should only need to set remote access via ssh and set it as an external service, the docs say the firewall dosent need a reboot, but I gave it a kick just to be on the safe side.
