I think (k)ubuntu is much more polished and minor but visible tweaks
which in my opinion makes it easier for out of the box use. Unlike
fedora where i need to spend 2-3 hrs making it perfect, kubuntu is
simply simple.

I had wlink cable working with Ubuntu with pppoeconf + pon + poff
i compiled rp-pppoe tar from wlink's download section (got nice GUI)
and installation went pretty smoth and i can connect as well, but i am
having strange problems, now the network, although shows that i have
new ppp0 connection, i cannot access anything

even tracepath 127.0.0.1 (or anyother ip) shows a problem, that tar
definitely messed up my kubuntu :(

strangely though, rp-pppoe tar compiled and worked beautifully in my
fc6monster :-)
has anyone compiled the rp-pppoe in kubuntu edgy??

regards
bibstha
