The updateable option will enable you to change ASPX pages after
compilation. When the site is non-updateable the ASPX pages are
basically just stubs, with all the page logic in the web site's
assemblies.

out. Thanks a bunch! I tried the "make website updatable" option but
it still brought the website down for 5 minutes while it copied all the
files. I'm not sure what that checkbox does.
