Web Application Developer
C-Tech Industries is looking for a web developer for our eight public
web sites to work in conjunction with the developer of our corporate web
site and the various web sites for our distribution channels.
Candidates for this position will have the following experience and/or
be capable of demonstrating the following skills:
" a track record of consistently rendering clear technical judgment and
routinely considers architecture-level, project-planning, and other
project-level issues;
" a clear understanding of the project development life-cycle;
" self-starter and able to formulate project plans and ideas on their
own as well as with a group;
" be committed to a plan of self-study and eager to learn and utilize
new technology;
" stays current on industry standards for emerging technologies, web
interface design, etc.;
" has a strong grasp of graphic design and design/color theory;
" highly capable of designing state-of-the art web user interfaces.
The ideal candidates will consider themselves software professionals as
well as experts in interface and graphic design.
Duties:
All facets of development on current and future C-Tech public website
applications front and back end including graphic/interface design,
system architecture, project management and requirements gathering (use
case development), documentation, testing/QA, deployment and maintenance.
" Writes production quality code and is able to implement entire
subsystems or feature sets independently. Code should have very few
defects, be robust and perform at, or above, requirements and expectations.
" Designs and implements new interfaces to keep sites fresh and
up-to-date on an ongoing basis.
" Creates and keeps current documentation on all applications.
" Meets with brand managers on a regular basis to discuss future needs
for projects.
" Takes ownership of online leads generation and is able to proactively
suggest and cultivate ideas on furthering the effectiveness of the
online lead generation process.
" Interfaces with both the Marketing and IT staff on projects and
assists the development lead in creating formal process for future
project management and fulfillment.
General Requirements:
" Associates degree in computer sciences or related field.
" 4+ years experience designing professional websites in a production
environment.
" 3+ years experience developing and deploying dynamic, data-driven,
high profile web applications on Microsoft platforms.
" 2+ years experience with SQLServer and general knowledge of other RDBMS.
" Proven practical experience with all relevant software (Visual Studio,
Photoshop, SQLServer Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer, source control)
" Demonstrated skills in relevant technologies (ASP 3,
VB.NET(preferred), ASP.NET, OOP design, COM, HTML, javascript, CSS,
graphic design)
" Good interpersonal and written communications skills
" Ability to be flexible and have the desire to learn
" Ability to follow a core set of development standards as well as help
to establish new ones
