I listen to music, watch movies, program in various languages, browse
the web, read email (mostly through webmail), manage my files and
data, play various games, write up the occasional document, do image
manipulation, communicate with people via IM or IRC, performing system
administration and maintenance tasks, do audio editing and mixing,
play and use MIDI devices, audio sequencing/synths/etc, authoring CDs
and DVDs, backup up CDs and DVDs and encoding them, transferring data
to and from my machine, accessing remote vpns and machines,
subscribing to and reading various RSS feeds, as well as installing
and playing around with a whole host of interesting software. Not all
at once, obviously. :)

For management of my windows I run wmii (wmii.de). It's an improvement
over ion3, which I had been running previously for about 2 years.

I think it makes sense to model a "use case" for each commonly
performed task, per each "gui idea".
