Hey All,
Some younger coders voiced a desire to work on unununiym. I decided to dive in to (I need a cheap hobby to prevent being bored). So I figured you may want to follow what I am doing to start so you can do the same.
Apparantly a linux / bsd (can you build unununium on BSD? Anyone done it?) workspace is a requirement, so go ahead and get your hands on the ISO images of a distrobution, I have used RedHat (realy don't like it) and gentoo, I would recommend gentoo first. Just do a search for it and download the iso images. Next, you need a computer to run it on, yes, you can dual boot, but personaly, I prefer a workstation that is networked that I can ssh to and still use Windows as my primary desktop.
My iso's for FreeBSD are downloading, they won't be done for an hour or so, I have an old AMD 500Mhz box I am going to use for now...
Anyways, if you have any quations you can email me, My name is Joey, email is
joey.novak@xxxxxxxxx
Anyone have any other advice for us unununium newbie's? OS preferences, possibility of developing inside bochs, or Qemu, or VirtualPC? Anyone tried doing dev work in Linux running in a Virtual Machine?
Thanks,
Joey -- Wanna see a funny video? Check out my website... http://www.joeynovak.com
