Hi *,
first of all: Thank you for a great piece of software, UML rocks!
I observed that the performance of tun/tap network interfaces depends on
the speed of the host CPU: On a Xeon 550 MHz processor the maximum speed
across a tun/tap device is somewhere around 55 MBits/s with 100% CPU
utilisatiion. On a 1 GHz Athlon CPU the speed of the tun/tap device
exceeds the 100MBit of the external interface. Is this a bug or did I
hit an actual limit? Does anybody else have a slow CPU and can confirm
my observation?
