[uml-user] mount / use a cow outside of uml?: msg#00295

Subject: [uml-user] mount / use a cow outside of uml?

http://user-mode-linux.sourceforge.net/shared_fs.html
"The way to share a filesystem between two virtual machines is to use the copy-on-write (COW) layering capability of the ubd block driver. As of 2.4.6-2um, the driver supports layering a read-write private device over a read-only shared device."

I know this page details how to merge a cow and how to create a cow, I didn't see anything stating how to mount a cow outside of uml, I was wondering if this was possible? If so please tell me how.

Thank you,
Mark
