Yeah, that's is the solution.
I compile with himem disabled and increasing the size of .5 units in the
kernel config. With that, I can use >512Mb of memory and the system goes
ultra fast!!! ;)

Ithik there is an easy fix for that, diable highmem in the uml-kernel,
and increase the numer of '500 MB-Units' (in the kernel config), the
default is one (can be used up to 480 MB or so), increase this to 2 or
more might help you.
