This doesn't matter. You can simply host-skas3 for the host(if you want) as
for 2.4 guest.

Yes, but the changes which have happened weren't accepted by Linus, so you
need to download a patch from the UML site(under the 2.4 patch list, there is
a list of patches for 2.5/2.6).

There should be almost no change. Be sure to specify root=/dev/ubd0(or
whatever path you have, it should be /dev/ubd/0 with DevFS) on command line:
there are problems if you don't specify this. In 2.4 the option could be
omitted, but now this isn't true any more.
