[uml-user] using port and binding to an address: msg#00301

Subject: [uml-user] using port and binding to an address
Greetings list,

I have been using UML locally to do test compiles under different versions
of RH and Debian.

I am wondering if there is a way of binding port to a particular interface.
i.e. when using console on port,9000 can I bind that to 127.0.0..1 so it's
not accessible to the outside world?

Obviously I can just firewall it, but thought if there was a way to bind
that address to the loopback device or something, that might be a better way
to do it.

Thanks for any suggestions you can come up with.
