[uml-user] Would UML prevent the main kernel from being crashed by badly wr: msg#00257

Subject: [uml-user] Would UML prevent the main kernel from being crashed by badly written programs?
Dear all,

I am attempting to run a program in UML with the hope that it won't
crash the main kernel anyhow.

During a few very simple tests, it seems to work well. However, at
least theoretically, will programs running in UML absolutely NOT crash
the main kernel IN ANY WAY, EVEN THE PROGRAM WANTS TO DO SO?

Say, is it possible at all for a very badly written (or hacked) program
to crash UML, which in turn crash the main kernel?

I think UML is good, but how can I technically prove this point to my
managers (they want some "proofs")?

Thanks very much in advance.

Regards,

Patrick
