Hi list.
Has anyone managed to get SCSI support and Tape/Disk/CDROM/Generic support
compiled as modules under
UML?
I have tried but it doesnt want to compile properly, it complains about
virt_to_phys and some other undefined symbols.
I want to use SCSI since I want to run the UNH iSCSI target and initiator
(server and client) in my UNM network.
Some iSCSI resources that would be very nice if they vere supported under
UML would be:
http://linux-iscsi.sourceforge.net/ which is the Cisco initiator (client)
implementation for Linux
and
http://sourceforge.net/projects/unh-iscsi/ which is the UNH
initiator(client) and target(server) for iSCSI on Linux.
I am no kernel developer myself (only application developer) so I cant fix
the problems in getting these things to work :-(
I would very much like to get these modules and the SCSI support to compile
for UML since this would allow me to
generate a lot of iSCSI traces to enhance the support for iSCSI in Ethereal
(GPL packet analyzer, www.ethereal.com (org was already taken)).
(I am an Ethereal developer, not kernel one)
Would someone please have mercy on me and help getting these drivers to work
under UML?
pretty pretty please?
thanks, ronnie sahlberg
