Hoary: xcompmgr meldet "No composite extension": msg#00032

Subject: Hoary: xcompmgr meldet "No composite extension"
hallo ubuntu-users

ich habe seit kurzem hoary bei mir installiert (durch upgrade von warty). nun wollte ich gestern mal die schatteneffekte des x.org-servers ausprobieren. ich habe also die pakete "xcompmgr", sowie "libxcomposite1", welches ja zu den abhängigkeiten gehört installiert.

wenn ich nun aber "xcompmgr -c" ins terminal eingebe wird lediglich "No composite extension" gemeldet. hat jemand etwas ähnliches festgestellt, bzw. sind irgendwelche lösungsansätze vorhanden?
