Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation. more...

Ubuntu Surveys for SFD: msg#00060

Subject: Ubuntu Surveys for SFD
LoCo Contacts and others,

I warned a few days ago that I would be launching some surveys. Here
they are!

http://surveys.geekosophical.net/potential-users.odt
http://surveys.geekosophical.net/current-users.odt
http://surveys.geekosophical.net/previous-users.odt

Please make sure you use the right survey for the right people:

The Potential Users Survey is for people who have not used Ubuntu before
The Current Users survey is for people who currently use Ubuntu
The Previous Users Survey is for people who have used Ubuntu but do not
anymore.

If you have trouble with getting cooperation from people who are not
Ubuntu fans like ourselves, use the following letter to try persuade them:

http://surveys.geekosophical.net/letter-to-surveyors.odt

These surveys will collect information that will be important to all
FOSS projects in some way or another. We are using Software Freedom Day
( http://softwarefreedomday.org ) to launch these surveys. Surveys must
be returned by the 16th of October. Details for returning the surveys
will be sent out at a later date.

Please forward this email on to your LoCo lists and encourage people to
get them done. You may need to translate it.

Thank You for helping!

Sincerely
Melissa Draper
