serverguide methodology: msg#00153

Subject: serverguide methodology
Hi all,

While proof-reading the serverguide recently, I noticed a slight
inconsistency in approach. When talking the user through editing files,
sometimes the guide sets out the command necessary to open the file
(e.g. sudo vim filename), and sometimes it simply says "edit the file
[filename]". I personally prefer the second approach, I think the guide
should contain a brief section at the beginning about editing files.
Further, I really don't think that vim should be the recommended editor,
new users won't be able to use it properly, while they will be able to
use nano. Experienced users can use whatever they like.

thoughts?

Matt
