Re: Release Notes: msg#00088

Subject: Re: Release Notes
Hi Matt,

Would you be able to maybe explain some of the new features/things in Hoary for me, particularly for inclusion in the Release Notes?

  - X.org

What benefit/features does x.org give over the previous x server?
What benefits does x.org have for hardware detection/support etc?

  - ReadAhead

In laymans terms, what does this actually mean?

  - grepmap

I put this down for grepmap:

grepmap has been used to improve the speed of the hotplug system, which allows you to 'hot-swap' devices such as USB devices and IEEE 1394/firewire devices.

is that what it does/provides in Hoary?

Thanks, and i may have a few more quick questions a bit later...

Cheers
;) trickie (Nick Loeve)
