Too bright? It is saturated. The fact is that darker, more saturated
colors are better for your eyes. It is the snowy landscape that forces
you to wear sunglasses and the saturated colors of the afternoons and
the evenings relaxes your optical nerves.  Also the saturated colors
are more elegant.
