server / nfs server

hi,

i installed edubuntu and it works fine on the server, the thin clients  
start to boot however at a certain point they stop booting saying the nfs  
server is not responding quoting the ip of the server.
and fails on trying to mount it then drops to a console, any ideas on the  
cause or how to rectify this problem ??
