[Bug 30127] gnome-terminal dies when issuing scp command if bash_completion: msg#02975

Subject: [Bug 30127] gnome-terminal dies when issuing scp command if bash_completion is enabled [dapper]
Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/30127

Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
i try this:
open gnome-terminal, then type "scp xx[TAB]" to copy file xxtestfile.file to a
remote server. as soon as i hit the Tab-key gnome-terminal dies ie gets
unresponsive.
if i type the filename correctly without hitting The Tab-key it works fine.

this only happens if bash_completion is ENABLED in ~/.bashrc.
