Okay, interesting comments:

For the splash screen, that blue blob kinda looks a bit freaky. Without 
the blob though, 3 looks pretty good. But, BlueBuntu and Styck actually 
seem like the best failsafes for this.

Then on the icons, the Industrial theme from Dapper was supposed to have 
NuoveXT icons as well, but because of problems related to disk space on 
the install CD's, it had to use Tango instead. But, Tango just seems to 
go better with the fresh look of Blubuntu.

This is just my $2 here..
