Check the router configuration. It's quite possible that the router is
set to allow connections only by specific mac addresses. Also, given
that these folks are your relatives, you might take the time to enable
WPA/WPA2 on the router so that they don't get PWNed :-) That said, I
don't think anyone will be able to help you unless you provide some
specifics regarding the router (model) and the router setup.
