Is it possible to use rt-kernel with 64 studio?

When I searched the net for the best distro i favored Ubuntu Studio as 
it has a nice gui, comes with rt-kernel per default and has most of the 
music-production apps with it. Unfortunately it seems very unstable with 
my 64bit quad-core system...
