Even if some specific symptoms happen to be similar, it's not clear that
that's the same bug as Nathan is describing. He says it hangs at the
shutdown stage, after the installer has finished, which suggests bug
386010. Yours is a failure before the installer has finished,
specifically bug 385995.

Siegfried-Angel? I don't really care about SCIM. I may do the merge, but if anyone else is interested in it feel free to take it. I also saw this issue earlier today, after installing from the Karmic 64 LiveCD (used USB creator, so it was actually LiveUSB). Here's a bug report for the crashing in LiveCD phenomenon: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/391162 -Asif On Mon, Jun 22, 2009 at 4:44 PM, Nathan Dorfman<na@xxxxxxxx> wrote: > On Mon, Jun 22, 2009 at 5:18 AM, Evan Dandrea<evand@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote: >> No, I just tested this myself and was unable to reproduce the behavior >> you experienced. You shouldn't need a fresh install - just showing us the installation logs from the one you have would be useful on its own. -- Colin Watson [cjwatson@xxxxxxxxxx] -- Ubuntu-devel-discuss mailing list Ubuntu-devel-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-devel-discuss
