I've been trying to get them in before the release (channels.dat
caching is a real requirement now), even though a commit freeze would
have been a better idea, so apologies for that.
Summary of updates since the 0.5.49 release are:
* handle Unicode null character (U+0000) in Radio Times data which
caused grabber to die
* adds XMLTV::Supplement support for channel_ids
* adds XMLTV::Supplement support for remote channels.dat from RT site
* adds support for deaf-signed programmes
* adds support for star-rating of recommded programmes
* improves credits parsing to fix notadditive error
* improves handling of 8859-1 extended characters in the Radio Times data
* documentation and comments updates
The most recent updates have been minor additions to existing logic,
or documentation/comment updates which shouldn't break the grabber.
The XMLTV::Supplement patch for channels.dat uses the same logic as
the working channel_ids handling, so I don't expect that to break
things on Windows.
Today's nightly validation run highlighted a) the notquiet issue which
Mattias resolved by removing the debug output from XMLTL::Supplement
now it is working, and b) the sorterror issue which is due to an issue
with tv_sort (see other thread) and not the grabber.
I'll hold off putting any further updates through now until after the release.
Cheers,
Nick
