The intended meaning is:
teletext - you can choose whether to display subtitles by pressing
a button on your remote control. They are sent digitally.
onscreen - subtitles are superimposed on the picture before it is
broadcast, so you get them whether you like it or not,
and without needing any special subtitle support in your
TV set.
I suspect that the data may be wrong, but could you pick an example
programme, describe what you see on your television and what the XML
says? Then we will see if they agree.
