Summary: Do not elminate possible duplicates

Initial Comment:
tv_cat provides a means of merging multiple listings.
However it automatically eliminates duplicate channels.

In my case I have both cable and satellite with some
duplicate channels on both services. Fetching the data
from zap2it.com produces the desired results in the two
independent listings but when they are merged
via 'tv_cat' the duplicate channels are eliminated.

I'd like to be able to merge the lists but retain the
duplictates across the merge so that my system can
use the channel from either cable or satellite.

As suggested in the mailing list email, try using the
-old-chan-id switch to encode the physical channel in the
channel-id field. This would prevent tv_cat from
recognizging them as the same status.

Another solution is to have a utility to remap channel ids.
I think there are already some solutions to do this.
