Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation. more...

Subject: Re: tv_grab_na's failing for empty schedule data is not good

Ed is suggesting for the xmltv format to support a
unknown programme entry that a grabber can use to
fill in gaps in the schedule it couldn't get data for.

Ed, where is this on your todo list ?

Can you describe how it should be used ? Does the grabber
fill in every hour with a <program-unknown> programme ?

So, my grab failed this morning after just 3 days because a single
channel (17 SCR) has a hole in it's programming data. The grabber
goes into a retry loop and ultimately fails in this condition. I am
not so sure it the right thing to fail when there is missing
programming data.

Perhaps the grabber can simply list the channels/time windows that
there was no data for at the end of the grab, or even during the grab.
Sorta like:

Day 2002-10-31 schedule for station 15 CNN has:21 programs
Day 2002-10-31 schedule for station 16 TLC has:37 programs
Day 2002-10-31 schedule for station 17 SCR has:20 programs
Day 2002-10-31 schedule for station 17 SCR has no info from 7pm to 12am
Day 2002-10-31 schedule for station 18 MUSIQUE has:33 programs
...
Day 2002-11-1 schedule for station 16 TLC has:39 programs
Day 2002-11-1 schedule for station 17 SCR has no info from 12am to 12pm
Day 2002-11-1 schedule for station 18 MUSIQUE has:23 programs
