I agree that TK is a pain and could look better.

It took me over a week to write the interface to tv_check. I don't
really like it either, but it works and is done!

If there is a desire for more GUI apps, and GTK is the platform of
choice, I can take a look at it. If it's not that hard to use, I can
consider moving tv_check to it. It may even work better..

TK is no fun... I can understand not wanting to program for it. I
didn't know there were other options.
