I dunno if it's the widgets it uses or what, but just about every Tk app I have seen looks amateur. Why not use GTK? It's cross-platform and there are bindings to it for just about every language out thre, including what seems to be the favourite here, Perl. In fact, Mandrake Linux's whole installer interface is written in GTK/Perl and it look _very_ clean and professional. Very GTK consistent. Actually, writing a "tv grid" application with a GTK interface (maybe in Perl) has been on my TODO list for a long time, but I just don't have a lot of "liesure" time these days. b. -- Brian J.
