Accented characters making XML::Parse choke?: msg#00032tv.xmltv.devel
not well-formed (invalid token) at line 3145, column 41, byte 119139 at /usr/lib/perl5/XML/Parser.pm line 185 or mismatched tag at line 11160, column 4, byte 420325 at /usr/lib/perl5/XML/Parser.pm line 185 Accented characters in the title or description of TV shows seem to make XML::Parser die. (This happens a lot for me with the "filldata" script which comes with mythtv.) I can vaguely remember seeing something about UTF8<->Latin1 problems on the list (or maybe somewhere else); was any fix to this ever found? (I'm currently using the CVS version of xmltv.) -- Joe Drew <hoserhead@xxxxxxxx> <drew@xxxxxxxxxx> "This particular group of cats is mostly self-herding." -- Bdale Garbee
