Choosing A Webhost:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation. more...

zap2it problems after downloading an amount of data?: msg#00006

Subject: zap2it problems after downloading an amount of data?

Has anyone else experienced a constant "500:Internal Server Error"
after trying to download a bulk of zap2it data? For the last couple
of days, I have been seeing this:

ecking provider information for postal/zip code K7N1V4, be patient..
double checking channel information, be patient..
writing listings to stdout
Day 2002-7-25 schedule for station 2 TVO has:60 programs
Day 2002-7-25 schedule for station 3 CIIIOT has:39 programs
Day 2002-7-25 schedule for station 4 CBOT has:29 programs
Day 2002-7-25 schedule for station 5 WSTM has:29 programs
Day 2002-7-25 schedule for station 6 CJOH has:34 programs
Day 2002-7-25 schedule for station 7 WWNY has:28 programs
Day 2002-7-25 schedule for station 8 CBLFT has:18 programs
Day 2002-7-25 schedule for station 9 WWTI has:27 programs
Day 2002-7-25 schedule for station 10 CKWS has:30 programs
Day 2002-7-25 schedule for station 11 TSC has:34 programs
Day 2002-7-25 schedule for station 12 WPBS has:33 programs
Day 2002-7-25 schedule for station 13 LOCAL has:6 programs
Day 2002-7-25 schedule for station 14 TSN has:25 programs
Day 2002-7-25 schedule for station 15 CNN has:22 programs
Day 2002-7-25 schedule for station 16 TLC has:38 programs
zap2it failed to give us a page: 500:Internal Server Error
check postal/zip code or www site (maybe they're down)
readSchedule failed for 2002-7-25 for station 17 SCR at
blib/script/tv_grab_na line 1489.
failed 1 times, will retry after 30 seconds..

and then it will just continue to fail until it reaches the limit I
configured in my .xmltv/tv_grab_na file.

Have they finally caught on and are limiting the amount of data
downloadable in a session or somesuch? Or am I attributing to malice
that which can be explained more simply by inadequate server
administration? :-)
