Hi all,
While working with TMAPI 1.0 I found it very annoying to use the
TopicsIndex for common operations like getTopicBySubjectIdentifier and
the TopicMapObjectsIndex for getObjectBySourceLocator. As Lars M.
already wrote in his mail dtd. July 28th, 2004 "TMAPI usage
experience" "[...] It complicates the usage of TMAPI considerably
[...]". Too bad that we haven't discussed it again.
Especially the try { } catch (TMAPIIndexException ex) is too much code
for retrieving a topic by its subjectIdentifier.
I think we should fix it in later releases.
