Ontologies, semantic networks and topic maps

Hi,
thanks for the links and the information.
Maybe to summarize and ask you whether this is correctly:
Is it to possible to say, semantic networks and topic maps are technical
concepts to represent knowledge in some context? And ontologies, thesauri
etc are non-technical concepts (but more linguistic or whatever) which can
be represented in computer systems using semantic nets ans topic maps?
Do you think this is a valid description?
