Introduction:
I would like to inform the TopicMaps community about the new release of
ThinkGraph (www.thinkgraph.com).
Purpose:
ThinkGraph is a mix between a MindMapping appplication
(structured display of informations) and a 2D drawing application (free =
drawing).
SVG + XTM:
ThinkGraph document is a SVG + XTM composite: XTM
is used for the data model (a Topics Tree) and SVG for the
representation (graphic attributes and geometry of Topics).
The generated file is a .SVG (which is thus easily viewed by any SVG viewer
like Adobe SVGViewer, an Internet Explorer plugin) which contains a topicmap
model inside a <metadata> tag.
I wanted only standard XML (and not a "custom" or
"candidate for standard" XML) thats why I selected XTM (W3C) and XTM (ISO).
It is important to notice that ThinkGraph generates SVG but it is not a SVG
editor, it is meant to edit only SVG that is has generated.
User Interface:
ThinkGraph embeds Microsoft Internet Explorer for easy navigation among Links
that may be associated to Topics. Another
feature of IE integration is to record bookmarks
in Topics thus extending the Bookmarks concept
