You will discover first hand which role topic maps play in the field of knowledge management, what a typical application could look like, how topic maps can be generated and of course, find a detailed introduction into this fascinating technology with numerous examples. The quality of the publication even convinced Standards Australia. The Australian publisher is going to publish it as part of its knowledge management initiative as a Standards Australia Handbook - enriched with additional cross-references to its Knowledge Management Framework. Holger is head of the German delegation for the ISO committee responsible for the topic map standard. He is co-editor of ISO's Topic Map Query Language standard and chair of the OASIS Technical Committee 'Vocabulary for XML Standards and Technologies'.
