I'd like the test-target of the port to fail if it detects a
miscompilation (or mislinkage), but work otherwise.


OK, done. The next version of xmlsec library will detect and skip
tests that are doomed to fail due to missing functionality in the
crypto libraries. Hope this would help!

Sorry that it took me a long time to do. I just did not have time :(
