this works :
CountersDocument cd = CountersDocument.Factory.parse(new 
File("c:\\temp\\counter.xml"));

and this fails :
CountersDocument cd = 
CountersDocument.Factory.parse("c:\\temp\\counter.xml");

I didn't read the javadoc of  XmlObject.Factory...
