binding datatype customization

HI there,

I am new to XMLBeans. I want to know whether customization of datatypes of
Java Type member is possible, generated by XMLBeans? If yes how?

e.g if my schema is having xs:dateTime for date element.

Can I get the DateType java class using java.sql.Date?

I could not get any information in online documents.
