Chiba and FileUplaods: Questions and offer of help

Since more than 2 months i am observing all mailinglists.
My project requires file-upload-mechanisms in XForms.
Unfortunately this feature within chiba has been very unstable, even not working,
within chiba for nearly more than 2 months.

There are two problems:

• depending on the actual state within the cvs-repository no fileupload works, neither in Firefox 1.5 nor IE 6.0
• sometimes it works in FF 1.5 succesfully, but fails with a NPE(see http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1542917&group_id=20274&atid=120274)

I don't know any details about a roadmap for Chiba 2.0
I am offering my help, espacially for the fileupload-problem.

Any suggestions how to integrate my help ?
