get XForms with instance data

After submitting an XForms, I can call chibaAdapter.getInstanceDocument() to get the instance data that reflects what the user has input on the form. I can also call chibaAdapter.getXForms() to get the original XForms().

 

How can I get an XForms with the instance data populated in the <xforms:instance>? I guess I can do some XML manipulation to merge the two together but I think Chiba must have it somewhere.
